Abi Titmuss was born with the real name of Abigail Evelyn Titmuss in 1976 in Lincolnshire, England. Both of her parents were teachers, though they divorced when Abi was at the young age of 17. Her father moved to Scotland after re-marrying, and her mother remained in England where she became the secretary of Sleaford Museum Trust. Titmuss attended school at Kesteven and Sleaford High School, where she completed her A levels. While in high school, Titmuss played the clarinet.
After graduating from high school Titmuss entered school in order to pursue a career in nursing. She received her degree in nursing in 1998 after studying at City University in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. After receiving her nursing degree, Titmuss went to work as a staff nurse at University College Hospital and eventually went to work at the Royal Brompton Hospital. She left her position at the hospital after a sex tape surfaced of her. Somebody involved in the release of this was eventually found to be at fault, though Titmuss was able to use her newfound public recognition to begin a career in show business.
She has also studied acting at various institutes throughout England. However, she eventually left her job as a nurse to pursue a career in modeling and acting. Her career has largely been in the adult industry and in the men’s magazine world. She starred as a presenter on the television porno channel Television X and has also appeared as a model in a large variety of men’s magazines. In many of her appearances as a model in these magazines she is photographed topless. Her magazine credentials include “Maxim,” “Loaded,” “Nuts,” “FHM,” and “Zoo Weekly.” In addition to these magazines, Titmuss has appeared topless in many tabloid newspapers. These credentials include “The Sun,” “The News of the World,” and “The Daily Mirror.” Her many appearances and success as a model and sex symbol earned her the position of the number 7 sexiest woman in the world in FHM magazine’s reader’s poll.
Her show business credits also include television appearances, including a reality show based on her life titled “Abi Titmuss: A Modern Day Morality Tale.” She has also made appearances on “Hell’s Kitchen” and “The Friday Night Project.” Titmuss has also sought a career as a stage actress, working in many West End theatre projects and stage productions. Recent years have also seen a release of her memoirs, entitled “The Secret Diaries of Abigail Titmuss.” The book has been promoted not as an autobiography, but rather as a completely uncensored telling of her life during the recent years that she has spent in show business.
Currently, Titmuss remains in the public eye. She has been working in show business for nearly seven years now, and shows no signs of slowing down her involvement in the world of acting and theatre. In the beginning of 2010 she played Geraldine in the comedic show “Stage Fright.” In June, she is scheduled to act in a production of “Dolly Daydream.”
Abi is to appear at the The Anvil in Basingstoke in the panto "Sleeping Beauty" from December 2010 to January 2011.
